The Cutting Cafe Contest

I hope you were able to take advantage of the very generous offer from Regina at The Cutting Cafe earlier this week.  She offered a free set of images (sorry the offer expired on July 24th) of the adorable Elisha Jean and Friends.  They are the sweetest little girl images.  So I decided to enter her contest.  I used little Mikala and I decided to use one of my favorite color combos red/black and white.  I think she turned out cute.  I hope the judges agree!  Thanks for stopping by!!

You're A Real Classic - Masculine Card

With the help of  The Cutting Cafe, I was able to make this more "masculine" card.  I think we can all agree that it is one of the more difficult types of cards to come up with.  I can always come up with flowers, ribbons and cute things to put on a feminine card, those are so much easier.  But there are occasions when those items just don't work for a guy.  Imagine that!!  I love the sayings with this set.  It's from the Crusin By To Say Hi set which has lots of great choices and so easy to put together a finished product that looks like it took a lot more time than it did (don't tell anyone, it will be our secret!!)  :)

Thanks to Kelly from Kreative Korner By Kelly for always inspiring me with her wonderful ideas.  This was a take on a card that she had done.  Thanks Kelly!!

Easter Bunny Hugs

Hi everyone!  Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! It's snowing here in Michigan so it made for a great crafting day.  I've been getting back into stamping lately and realized that it has been several months since I've used my Cricut!!  But I picked up the new Kate's ABCs cartridge from Joanns yesterday and had to try it out.  Wow!!  It has the cutest images!!  I didn't know which one to do first.  And I can't wait to try some others.  It is just adorable!!  Since I love bunnies I had to try this one.

I have one quick flashback story for you.  My niece and nephews that I don't get to see as often as I'd like (they don't live in Michigan), know how much I love bunnies.  They are grown up now, but when they were little and Easter time came around they told their Mom..."Aunt Barb must love this time of year, there are bunnies everywhere!"  So so sweet!!

Special Valentine Wishes

This card is for my nephew. He's a young Republican, so I thought this little elephant would be perfect for him for Valentine's Day. It's difficult to make cards for men, isn't it? I just fell in love with this little guy. His name is Lil' Pea-Nut.  He's from Our Craft Lounge and he comes in several varieties. So don't be surprised if you see him again here at Easter!  Too stinking cute!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Gobble Gobble!!

You can always count on the images from The Cutting Cafe to make a great card.  This is from the Thanksgiving Day set.  I love the "word" backgrounds she provides. They are so much fun and look so cute.  I made several of these to get in the mail and hopefully they made it to their destinations before the big turkey day!!   I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving Day!  We have so much to be thankful for.  Thank you Lord for the many blessing you provide to us every day!

Have a BOO-tiful Halloween!!

I made this card a few weeks ago and wasn't really sure about it.  But looking at it again, I think it's pretty cute (if I do say so myself!! LOL!)  I thought maybe it was too much black and white.  What do you think??  Please leave me a comment if you have time!  Thanks for looking and I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!!

Halloween Treat Buckets

I made several Halloween treat buckets to give out this week.  I found these cute little orange buckets at Joanns for $1.00.  I used images from several cricut cartridges and cut them from vinyl.  I thought I would make tags to hang on the side of the buckets too.  The Cutting Cafe has the cutest printable stamps.  Most of  the tags were made using the Halloween All Around and Halloween Word Circles sets and then I used my nestibilities for the backgrounds. They were so fun to make!  If you haven't tried The Cutting Cafe yet, you are missing out!!  I tried to get a few photos of the completed buckets and probably should have taken the pictures before I filled them.  But I think you can get the idea of how they looked.

Here are some of the tags that I made to hang on the side of the buckets!  I ended up punching a hole at the top and tying them to the side of the bucket with some black and orange plaid ribbon.

Here are a few of the buckets.

I may have gone over the top on these. I decided to make a tag to fit on top of a pencil so that it would stick out in the middle. The image is from The Cutting Cafe also and I secured them with little brads.

Thanks for looking!  Hope everyone is having a great day!!
