Warm Winter Wishes Cocoa Gift

Since it was our turn to have Christmas this year, I needed a small gift to send home with everyone.  I found this idea for a hot cocoa cone gift from Fun Family Magazine.  It was really easy and turned out very cute.  Don't you think? The gift will make hot cocoa for four including chocolate chips and marshmallows.  And of course a candy gum drop to make it look like a sundae.

The gift tags were made from the snowman set and tag dies from Papertrey Ink.  I added a snowflake punch from Marvy with glitter paper and the sentiment "Warm Winter Wishes from Taylored Expressions.  Of course they had to have strings coming from their hats with little pom poms at the end.  I crocheted and simple chain with various colors of Sugar and Cream cotton yarn to match the color of the tags and used it to tie around the bag to secure the tag.  I made them in several different color combinations.  Here is the traditional red and green tag and one in red and aqua.

To make sure everyone remembered to take one, I set them up in a big red Christmas bucket by the front door.  Look at all of those little faces.
